The IT and Computing BTEC Level 1 course is an introductory computing course designed to provide you with the opportunity to develop initial skills for the IT sector.
You will explore topics such as creating websites, developing digital information, and using IT applications. You will also build essential skills like problem-solving for tech issues, communication, research, and teamwork. As part of this course you will have the opportunity to study the Level 1 Gateway Award in Cyber Security!
The course includes mandatory units such as information technology systems, creating systems, information management, the use of social media in business, programming, IT based project management, cyber security, incident management, and IT service delivery.
Upon completion, you will be well prepared to continue for further study or to pursue opportunities in the IT industry.
