Creating Opportunities Through Employer Partnerships

Our Work Placement Team met with local business leader Michael Byers to explore new opportunities for collaboration and help students gain valuable workplace experience and career skills.

The Work Placement Team recently met with Michael Byers, Director of Build Wholesale and Jojoba Cosmetics, to explore opportunities for collaboration and strengthen our links with local employers. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss how local businesses can support students to gain valuable work experience, develop practical skills and build confidence in the workplace.

Creating opportunities for students

The team explored a range of potential collaboration opportunities, including industry work experience, project work and other activities that can support students’ learning and career development.

Building strong relationships with employers is an important part of supporting students’ progression. These partnerships can help students connect their classroom learning with real-world experiences while developing the practical and employability skills that employers value.

For students, opportunities to engage with employers can also provide a better understanding of different careers and workplaces, helping them build confidence as they prepare for their next steps.

A big thank you to Michael Byers for reaching out and for his commitment to supporting our students and helping to develop the future workforce.

We would love to hear from you
