T Level Students Explore Accountancy Careers at ACCA Taster Day
T Level Accounting and T Level Business Administration and Management students visited ACCA’s London headquarters for a day of career insight, employability skills, and networking with accountancy professionals.
Learning from accountancy professionals
Throughout the day, students took part in a range of sessions designed to give them a better understanding of the profession and the opportunities available within accountancy and business.
These included:
- Introduction to ACCA, Accountancy and Interview Skills – Students learned more about ACCA and careers in accountancy, while developing their understanding of effective interview skills.
- Meet the Ambassadors – Students heard first-hand career stories from ACCA members and had the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about their experiences.
- Career Insight and Networking – Students engaged with professionals and explored different career pathways within accountancy and business.
Students were highly engaged throughout the visit and enjoyed the opportunity to speak directly with professionals working in the sector. Hearing about different career journeys helped students connect their studies with the skills and opportunities they could pursue in the future.
A special thank you to Rob Alder, Head of Apprenticeship and Relationships at ACCA, for hosting our students and helping to make the day such a valuable and engaging experience.
Visits such as this give students the opportunity to build confidence, develop employability skills and broaden their understanding of potential career pathways, while seeing how the knowledge they develop at College can be applied in the workplace.
