Enrichment
Being a 16–18 student at Stanmore College is about more than just studying. It’s a chance to meet new people, try new experiences, build confidence and get involved in college life.
From day one, our induction programme and annual Freshers’ Fair help you settle in, connect with other students and discover the wide range of activities, clubs and support available.
There are plenty of opportunities to explore new interests, develop new skills and make the most of your time at college. Students can get involved in a variety of sports, clubs and enrichment activities including basketball, badminton, football, table tennis, boxing, gym sessions, PS5 gaming, board games and more. We also offer mixed and female-only gym sessions to help make activities accessible and inclusive for everyone.
Alongside on-campus activities, students can take part in local trips, cultural visits and community activities throughout the year, giving you the chance to explore new places, build friendships and create new experiences outside the classroom.
Students also have opportunities to take part in overseas experiences and work placements through programmes such as the UK Government’s Turing Scheme.
Recently, students and staff travelled to Bali, Indonesia for a fully funded two-week work placement, gaining valuable international experience, developing employability skills and exploring a new culture.
Whether you want to stay active, join a club, travel, socialise or simply try something new, there’s something for everyone.
Enriching Your Experience
Taking part in a range of experiences and opportunities will help you get more out of your time at Stanmore College. It’s a chance to meet new people, build confidence, develop new skills and strengthen your CV for university, apprenticeships and future job applications.
