Press conference

The launch of this fantastic new opportunity for young people took place yesterday, Wednesday, 28th June at Stanmore College. Danny Lee of Stanmore’s Sports’ department introduced the event followed by a brief on the excellent opportunities it will offer Stanmore College students by Annette Cast, Principal. Next up was Martin Brain, Development Officer of Chelsea Foundation. Lois Vassell, Vice-Principal (Curriculum & Quality) then spoke of the range of curricula that the College was offering alongside the Chelsea Foundation Football study programmes clarifying that these opportunities would also be open to students studying subjects other than sport at Stanmore College. Bob Pattni, Deputy Principal, spoke of the benefits this collaboration would bring to the wider community after which the launch concluded with a question and answer session.

This programme includes football enrichment in competitive leagues and free day trips to places such as St George’s Park, Stamford Bridge, theme parks and more. Trips and tournaments abroad are also available, along with the prestigious Chelsea Foundation college cup at the training ground.

Free taster sessions will be held every Wednesday evening (see website for dates and times).

Interested potential students can complete an expression of interest form on the website link which enables the College to book people in for the sessions.
