Stanmore College Main Site
The Early Years Practitioner Diploma Level 2 prepares you for a career in early years settings such as nurseries, schools, or as a childminder. You’ll learn how to support children’s development from birth to age 5, focusing on their health, safety, and emotional well-being. Key topics include child development, promoting positive relationships, and health and safety practices. The course combines theory with practical experience in an early years setting, where you’ll apply your knowledge in a real-world environment. Upon completion, you’ll be ready to work as an early years practitioner and can progress to Level 3 for further career opportunities.
Why do this course?
Upon completion, you can progress to the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) or move into employment. You could work as an assistant in pre-schools, children’s centres, day nurseries, nursery schools, or nursery classes.
