The Early Years Supporting Teaching and Learning NCFE Certificate Level 3 is for you if you want to develop your skills and knowledge to support teaching and learning in early years settings. Throughout the course you will cover a range of topics, including child development, supporting children’s learning, and understanding the role of a teaching assistant.
You will gain insight into the importance of supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and how to assist in planning and delivering activities that support their educational growth. You’ll also explore the principles of inclusive practice and how to work with a diverse group of children.
The qualification is focused on practical skills, and you will have the opportunity to apply your learning in a real-world setting. The course includes a combination of theory and practical work, ensuring you develop both the knowledge and the hands-on experience needed for a successful career in early years education. By the end of the course, you will be equipped to support children in a variety of educational environments, from nurseries and preschools to schools and after-school clubs. You could work as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Secondary and Special Schools Assistant.

- Entry Requirements
Level 1 English (or equivalent qualification).
Level 2 Early Years Support in Teaching and Learning qualification.
Work or volunteer in a classroom with Year 1 (or above) students for at least 12 hours a week (for the duration of the course.)
Letter from employer confirming your role as a Teaching Assistant is required. - Assessment
