The Education and Training NCFE Award Level 3 is a 12 credit qualification designed to introduce you to teaching in the Further Education and Skills Sector. The course will help you gain essential skills and confidence for a teaching career.

The course is designed for flexible study, so you can learn at your own pace. You will increase your understanding of teaching and education and improve your ability to support learners at various stages. The course covers key areas such as roles and responsibilities in education, inclusive teaching approaches, and understanding assessment practices.

This knowledge-based qualification includes a micro-teaching component. You will plan, deliver, and review feedback of observed teaching with your peers, which will assist to develop the practical skills that are key to a career in this sector. (A formal teaching position is also not required to do this course).

Upon completion you will gain a nationally recognised certification that can open doors to a lasting career in the education sector. (While this qualification is not a requirement for progression to Level 4 CET or Level 5 DIT, it does offer a beneficial solid foundation in teaching or training.
