Why study Childcare at Stanmore College?

The teaching staff are highly-qualified with extensive industrial experience. The team includes former primary school teachers, nursery nurses, health visitors, nurses, a social worker, radiographer and a nursery manager.

Our achievement rates are consistently higher than the national average and large numbers of our students' progress to universities and/or are successfully employed. Many of our students started at level 1 and continued right up to level 3. Several returned thereafter to complete a degree.
What's it like in Childcare?
Working with children can be one of the most rewarding of all careers and staff will give you practical tips and advice to help you to be successful. You will learn combined theory with practical skills. Level 2 and 3 courses will provide you with the opportunity to experience work placements in settings such as day nurseries, children's centres, private and statutory schools.
