Course Content

The Level 2 sport course will allow you to develop practical and work-based skills around sport. The course will help you build and develop the introductory skills to start or progress in the sports sector. It will involve a range of units where you will be able to develop knowledge and skills in sports, fitness and coaching.

You will also have the opportunity to further develop on your coaching skills completing a SLQ Level 2 qualification in sports leadership which will open up your pathway into coaching the sport of your choice.

The Level 2 sports study programme course provides you with opportunities and skills which will help you develop and grow into a career ready professional.

The course will give the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of sport and grow as an individual while gaining relevant qualifications. The qualification also allows learners to gain personal transferable skills that can be applied to the workplace or further study

Entry Requirements

  • 2 GCSE qualifications at grades A*-D or 9-3, including English Language
  • Level 1 vocational qualification and a Level 1 English qualification

This will be done in a range of ways including Practical assessments, presentations, assignments and work based assessments.
