Information Technology
Welcome to Stanmore College Computing and ICT!
Computing and ICT is at the heart of the technological world in which we live.
These skills are now an essential aspect of many professions. The Computing and ICT department at Stanmore College is better equipped than ever with the inclusion of industry standard creative software.
We have the expertise and resources to develop our students’ skills to the desired level, whether to gain a recognised qualification or as a tool to assist their studies. Exciting changes are underway in the IT industry with the government backing the country’s efforts to become world leaders in this field.
We have good links to universities and students can now even progress to Higher Education in this field right here at Stanmore.
Many of our students are given the opportunity to build up a professional portfolio by developing a commercial website. We aim to develop the confidence and capability of all students and we do this by using ICT across the curriculum.
Our teachers have industry experience and links with industry professionals who visit the College to speak to students and answer questions.
