The Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care NCFE CACHE Certificate Level 2 qualification will prepare you to be work ready for adult health and social care sectors.
Overview of the course and units:
- Principles of Safeguarding and Protection in Health and Social Care
- Understand the Role of the Social Care Worker
- Introduction to Duty of Care in Health, Social Care or Children’s and Young People’s Settings
- Principles of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion in Adult Social Care Settings
- Understand Person-Centred Approaches in Adult Social Care Settings
- Principles of Communication in Adult Social Care Settings
- Principles of Personal Development in Adult Social Care Settings
- Understand Health and Safety in Social Care Settings
- Understand How to Handle Information in Social Care Settings
You will be required to successfully achieve a total of 20 credits from 9 mandatory units.

- Progression
You can progress to further study, such as Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or Level 3 Diploma in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care. You can also go into employment within the sector.
- Entry Requirements
You are required to be working towards a career in adult health and social care, and employed in a supervised job role.
- Assessment
Internally assessed by tutor.
Externally assessed by assessor using a portfolio of evidence. - Timings
