The Health and Social Care Care Diploma Level 3 for adults qualification will help you develop the knowledge and skills needed when working in care settings.

- Understand How to Promote Personal Wellbeing
- Promote Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Human Rights in Care Settings
- Promote Health and Safety in Care Settings
- Support the Health and Wellbeing of Individuals in a Care Setting
- Scope and Responsibilities of an Adult Care Worker
- Understand Duty of Care
- Understand How to Safeguard Individuals
- Understand Mental Capacity and Restrictive Practices
- Infection Prevention and Control in a Care Setting
You will be required to successfully achieve 39 credits from the mandatory units and a minimum of 19 credits from the optional units. This qualification has been allocated UCAS points.
Additional Information
- Progression
You can progress to Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care, or to employment in roles such as lead adult care worker, lead personal assistant, or senior care support worker.
- Entry Requirements
You will need to be working, volunteering or on a practical placement, as you need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
- Assessment
Internally assessed.
Externally quality assured via a portfolio of evidence. - Timings
3 hours per week for 1 year.
