The Health and Social Care Certificate Level 3 helps you develop advanced skills and knowledge needed to work in the health and social care sector. You will cover key areas such as understanding the role of a care worker, effective communication, health and safety, equality and diversity, person-centred care, safeguarding, and supporting mental health. The course also includes human development, promoting health and well-being, and care planning. You’ll gain practical experience in care settings, putting theory into practice. This course prepares you for a career in health and social care or further study, giving you the skills to support individuals and meet their care needs effectively.

Entry Requirements 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including English and maths, or a Merit in a relevant diploma with GCSE grade 4 (C) in English. (Exceptions to entry requirements for Level 3 qualifications may be considered.)

Assessment Assessment is based on internally and externally assessed assignments, along with a satisfactory work experience portfolio. There is no final examination.
