The ASDAN Employability Certificate Level 1 qualification equips you with essential skills to succeed in the workplace. It is designed to help you develop the abilities needed to become a successful employee.
This qualification primarily aims to support individuals who face challenges entering employment. It is suitable if you’re not yet ready to start working but hope to find a job within a reasonable timeframe. It also benefits those entering the workforce for the first time and who want to build their employability skills.
The course provides a supportive environment where you can gain confidence and develop skills valued by employers. Through practical, real-life activities, you will enhance your employability and take important steps toward your career goals. It lays a strong foundation for further study, supported internships, or employment opportunities.
This qualification is especially ideal for young people with special educational needs. It is available for those aged 16-18, and up to 24 years old if you have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

- Progression
You can progress to a Level 2 qualification, further study, employment, or apply for supported internship.
- Entry Requirements
Qualifications at Entry 3 level are advisable, but not required.
Literacy and numeracy skills at Entry 3 level is preferred.
Available for 16-18yrs, and 16-24 yrs with EHCP. - Assessment
Internally and externally assessed.
