My time at Stanmore College gave me the skills and experience to take the next step in my career. I really enjoyed studying Business at Stanmore College, particularly the support I received from my teachers. They were approachable, encouraging and always willing to help when I needed it. The College’s convenient location also made it easy for me to attend and fitted well with my day-to-day life. Since completing my studies, I have gone on to work as a Partner at John Lewis. Looking back, I am grateful for the knowledge, skills and support I gained at Stanmore College, which gave me a strong foundation for my career.

My time at Stanmore College has been a positive and memorable experience. The teachers were kind, supportive and always willing to help, while the friends I met made my time at College even more enjoyable. Studying ESOL has helped me improve my English and given me the opportunity to meet new people and learn in a friendly environment. I am very grateful for the support and encouragement I received throughout my studies. I would recommend Stanmore College to anyone looking to improve their English and develop their language skills. I will always remember my time at the College.

Studying ESOL at Stanmore College gave me the confidence to believe in my future. My teachers were supportive throughout my studies, and my friendly classmates made me feel comfortable and motivated to learn. Since starting the course, I have become much more comfortable speaking and communicating in English. I’ve developed my language skills and feel better prepared to take the next steps towards my goal of becoming a doctor. I am very grateful for the support I have received at Stanmore College and for the opportunity to improve my English, meet new people and prepare for my future.

Choosing Stanmore College was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The college played a huge role in building my confidence, so much so that I took on the role of Student Governor. While it was hard work, I genuinely enjoyed my time thanks to the support of inspiring teachers and wonderful classmates. Stanmore helped me deepen my knowledge of art and design and encouraged me to experiment with a wide range of mediums and techniques in my projects. I truly valued the opportunities available, from art trips to artist talks and portfolio reviews, which consistently supported my creative and professional growth. My time at Stanmore was instrumental in shaping my future. I secured all of my university offers, including my first choice, The Courtauld Institute of Art, where I will study Art History. My dream is to become an art teacher or lecturer, and Stanmore College has helped me step closer towards that dream. I am incredibly grateful for my time at Stanmore.

Studying at Stanmore College helped me develop strong technical skills in IT, including data analysis, programming, and cybersecurity, while also building my confidence, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. I really valued the supportive learning environment, the knowledgeable lecturers, and the friendships I made along the way. I would highly recommend Stanmore College for excellent teaching, supportive staff, and the opportunities it provides to prepare students for higher education and careers in technology. The experience gave me a strong foundation in IT and helped prepare me for apprenticeships and a future in the digital industry.

My time at United Select was incredibly rewarding. It gave me the chance to grow both personally and in football. Through training and meeting a wide range of people, I developed the skills and openness to explore different career paths. The work opportunities, after-school clubs, and Eton camps were invaluable. They helped prepare me for university with confidence. I am now studying for a BSc in Football Coaching and Development with the Chelsea Foundation at St Mary’s University in Twickenham, while coaching at Chelsea PDC centres and after-school clubs. I am also gaining experience in Academy tournaments, Girls’ ETC, and Talent ID days. United Select played a key role in helping me get to where I am today, for which I am very grateful.

After being made redundant, I knew I needed a more secure, long-term career. Jobcentre Plus recommended the rail industry, and I decided to I enrol on the Rail Engineering Bootcamp at Stanmore College. The course has boosted my confidence and introduced me to new practical skills, from using a rail drill to starting a generator. Even with my experience as a steel fixer on HS2 (High Speed Rail Network), this training has really broadened my knowledge. Meeting employers has been a highlight, they take our progress seriously and offer valuable insight. If you’re considering this course, I’d say go for it. It’s a solid pathway into the rail industry, and I’ve seen women work their way up through the ranks. I’m confident I’ll be one of them.

My time at United Select and Stanmore College was filled with some of the best moments of my life and opened the door to countless opportunities. United Select gave me the chance to work in sport, a dream I had held since joining the programme at Stanmore College. When I joined the United Select football and education programme, my ambition was to become a professional footballer. However, by my second year, I realised this was unlikely. Throughout this time, my tutors at United Select were incredibly supportive and did everything possible to help me work towards my long-term career goals. They helped me secure a week of work experience at Fulham FC Foundation and continued to provide opportunities even after I had completed the programme. They also strongly encouraged my decision to pursue university, pushing me to achieve the grades I needed and ensuring the transition was as smooth as possible. Having the support and foundation of United Select has been invaluable. Without it, I would almost certainly be in a very different place today. I give full credit to United Select and Stanmore College for the guidance and encouragement they provided. Looking back now, it’s clear just how significant an impact they have had on my life.
