Kendra student of Stanmore College
Kendra, Health and Social Care

“I achieved an A* in Health and Social Care. Studying this course at Stanmore College has given me valuable knowledge about supporting individuals, as well as the opportunity to develop strong communication and teamwork skills. As a result, I now feel more confident about my future studies and building a career in the health and social care sector. The teachers were consistently supportive, offering guidance and advice whenever I needed it. The course gave me a solid understanding of health and wellbeing, safeguarding, and communication, knowledge that will be especially useful as I begin my studies in Paramedic Science. It also helped me build practical skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and empathy, all of which are essential when working with patients and healthcare professionals.”

Jenny, Rail Engineering student.
Jenny, Rail Engineering Skills Bootcamp

I joined the Stanmore Rail Engineering Bootcamp, funded by the Mayor of London, to gain real hands-on experience in the rail industry. My background in theatre and retail built my communication skills, but I wanted a more practical, physical career where I could learn by doing. My goal is to work with National Rail and support the HS2 (High Speed Rail Network) project. The bootcamp has given me essential skills in track maintenance, rail infrastructure, and working with real equipment. Our tutor, has been incredibly supportive, meeting and visiting employers has been motivating. The group has been welcoming and diverse from day one. This course has boosted my confidence and helped me step out of my comfort zone. My advice: come with a clear goal and stay focused. It’s a fantastic opportunity, and I’m grateful to be part of it.

Yaksh, IT and Computing, T Level

“Choosing Stanmore College was a game-changer for me. It was the only place offering T Levels in IT, which I needed to secure an apprenticeship. The support they gave throughout my journey was incredible, especially when it came to helping students with their career choices. Not only is the College known for its strong employment rates, but they also offer great opportunities like engaging trips that enrich your experience. My T Levels played a crucial role in helping me land valuable work experience. I was able to show transferrable skills on my CV and that set me apart. As a result, I have confirmed a Level 4 apprenticeship with Telstra International, based in over 90 countries worldwide providing data services to companies like the NHS and Google! I’m truly grateful for how Stanmore College has kickstarted my career path.”

Poppy, Stanmore College student.
Poppy, Creative Media Production and Technology

“I achieved DS in Creative Media Production and Technology. I am grateful to the College for the opportunity to explore what I enjoy most, writing self-reflections on Blogger, and developing my photography skills. The course has allowed me to discover and refine my creative abilities while making my work truly my own. I’m excited to take my next step into independent life by starting university at UAL: London College of Communication. I can’t wait to see what stories I will create on the course. Thanks to my time at Stanmore College, I now feel prepared to enter the creative industry with a newfound confidence. This is just the beginning of my story, and I can’t wait to see what I achieve next!”

Isiaih, Rail Engineering student
Isaiah, Rail Engineering Skills Bootcamp

I joined this programme after completing my PTS (Personal Track Safety) course because I wanted more hands-on experience. The Rail Engineering Bootcamp has helped me work with new tools, refresh my knowledge, and take real steps toward employment in the rail industry. Meeting employers has been a highlight, it’s a great chance to network and build confidence. The tutor has been excellent, combining solid theory with practical skills that are directly relevant to the job. My advice to anyone considering the Bootcamp is simple: go for it. It’s a strong foundation for getting shifts, gaining experience, and opening doors in the rail sector.

Bradley, T level student Stanmore College
Bradley, Business Management and Administration, T Level

I chose Stanmore College because it offered T Levels, as I knew A Levels weren’t the right path for me. I really liked the structure of the programme and was impressed by the College’s strong connections with employers, which gave me excellent work placement opportunities. Stanmore gave me plenty of opportunities, and I made the most of every single one. During my six months working with a solicitor, I learned a lot about property law and gained valuable insight into workplace culture. The experience taught me the importance of good work habits, routines, and professionalism. I’ve now secured a place at university to study Business with a focus on Supply Chain Management.
