Course Content
Level 1 Science course prepares students with an interest in science, with the skills required to be successful in higher level programmes. If successful students can progress onto our level 2 science programme. The course also allows students to develop their English and Maths skills alongside the science course.
It covers fundamental aspects of science such as how to design and run an experiment, how to take measurements accurately and reliably, how the human body defends itself from disease and how to eat and live a healthy lifestyle.
The course is aimed at students who have a passion for science but require more time to develop their fundamental concepts as well as their English and Math skills.
10 different science units will be included, covering different aspects of Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Course Outcomes
The course also allows students to develop their English and Maths skills alongside the science course.
Progression
Successful students can progress onto our level 2 science programme.
Entry Requirements
Four grade 2's at GCSE desirable, some students without these grades may be considered if they demonstrate a good attitude and an interest in science at interview.
