Level 3 UAL Extended Diploma in Audio Production

Course Content

A course intended for anyone with an interest in the creative media industry, particularly in Audio production and editing and content creation. The work that makes up the course contains practical, with theoretical and critical analysis and the planning and production of various audio pieces using industry standard processes and software.

Students will learn the fundamentals of sound and audio recording and editing techniques in the first year, with team-based assignments challenging them to produce original audio-based content.

There is a heavy focus on developing students' understanding of audio language, with opportunities to practice foley sound creation, podcasting and live streaming throughout the course. In addition, students will have the chance to work on employer led project briefs from external clients and develop a portfolio of work that will take them on to university or the industry.
