Learning Support Assistant

30 hours per week, 5 days per week, term-time only, fixed-term until 18th June 2019

Do you want to provide learning support and welfare for students who have a disability and/or a learning difficulty?

If so, Stanmore College has a great opportunity for you to join the Inclusion team to assist the Inclusion Manager to develop a suitable programme of support and carry out the programme within the classroom or in a withdrawal situation. Building relationships with students who have additional needs to help them overcome barriers to learning and supporting them to maximise their learning potential would also be an important aspect of the role.

You will have a minimum of one year’s experience of supporting post-16 or secondary school students and a Level 3 qualification. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and good IT skills.

Salary

£15, 601 - £17, 503 per annum (based on a full-time salary of £20, 788 - £25, 306 per annum) - depending on qualifications

Work Placement Officer - Cross College

36 hours per week, all year

We are looking for an experienced and efficient person with suitable qualifications for the post of work placement officer -- cross college.  You will be responsible for sourcing and arranging placements for all departments across the College as required. Carrying out visits to employers' premises as required and visiting students in a range of settings.

You will have a minimum of one year's experience of supporting post-16 or secondary school students and a Level 3 qualification.  You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and good IT skills.

Information, Advice and Guidance Adviser

29 hours per week, over 4 days per week, term-time only

Stanmore College has a great opportunity for you to provide Information, Advice and Guidance to both young learners, aged 16 - 19, and adults. You will provide accurate and up-to-date information and advice on courses, jobs, apprenticeships and careers, both face to face and on the telephone to include in-depth one to one interviews as required

You will have experience of providing advice, support and guidance to 16-19 year olds or to adults in 1 to 1 and in group settings plus a relevant qualification at level 3 or above and an IAG qualification at Level 6.

Lecturer in Engineering (0.8 or full-time)

We are looking for a full-time or fractional (4 days per week) lecturer to teach on our Electrical and Electronic Engineering courses, including delivering units which are both theoretical and practical based on a range of courses; BTEC levels 2 and 3 and Access.  It would be advantageous to have the ability to deliver aspects of mechanical engineering and to be familiar with CAD software (i.e. Autocad). This post would also suit a Physics teacher with post-16 experience. The ability to teach AS/core maths is desirable.

Functional Skills Tutor (Apprenticeships)

Flexible Hours

We are looking for a Functional Skills Tutor who has a deep understanding of functional skills within the apprenticeship framework. The role will involve working independently visiting apprentices at a variety of sites within your region and you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment of functional skills. Supporting the English department with ESOL delivery when required.

It is essential that you have an excellent experience delivering functional skills preferably to apprentices and hold the appropriate level of qualification to meet Award Organisation requirements.

The successful candidate will have English and Maths qualifications to minimum Level 2, subject specialism in either Maths or English, D32/D33 or A1 Award or TAQA and teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed/DTLLS). One years' recent experience of delivering functional skills in a post 16 environment

As an essential car user, you must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.

£25 per hour
