Vice Principal – Curriculum and Quality

We are looking for a talented and experienced FE practitioner to be our new Vice Principal for Curriculum and Quality. This individual would report to the Principal and the Board of Governors as a Senior Postholder. This high profile role has the overall responsibility for all curriculum and quality matters, ensuring excellent performance in all areas of the Colleges work. The individual will work closely and purposively with the College Executive and provide effective leadership to the College Senior Leadership Team.

We have successfully grown and diversified our income in recent years, working with employers and other local stakeholders to heighten our profile. Stanmore College has achieved a ‘Good’ Ofsted grade (2017) and we are QAA Confident. This is an excellent time for a new Vice Principal Curriculum and Quality to join us as we are determined to be judged ‘Outstanding’ by the time of our next inspection by building on our current strengths.

Stanmore College is a growing and aspiring General Further Education (GFE) College in the London Borough of Harrow. The provision includes study programmes for 16 – 18 year old students and further education courses for our adult learners plus foundation and BA Honours Degrees. Courses are provided in a wide variety of subject sector areas except for those relating to construction, retail and agriculture.

Our successful postholder will have a degree at honours level, a full teaching qualification with evidence of recent and progressive career development and appropriate professional development. As an inspirational leader, you should have a strong track record in the management and development of staff and a commitment to student success and all-round excellence.

The salary for this post is circa £77,000+ per annum.

Head Coach - Dunstable

(Part time, 28 hours per week, fixed term until 15.08.2022)

We are seeking to appoint a part time Head Coach with experience of student development with 16-19 year old’s and in the development and management of college football programmes. Essential experience within educational field, along with desirable experience of coaching/playing at a good standard.

You will need to possess a sports related degree. UEFA B/A Licence, FA Youth awards, D1 Driving Licence are desirable.

The scope of the position requires morning and/or afternoon work. The post will be positioned off site at Dunstable.

You must be enthusiastic and highly motivated, have a flexible approach to work and be able to work as a member of the team.

Salary Scale: Band F, points 17 – 20, £23,910 - £25,944 (F/T salary) £18,597.20 - £20,179.24 (P/T salary)

Learning Support Manager

(36 hours per week, all year)

We are looking for a Learning Support Manager to work with the Director of Student Services to develop all aspects of learning support services. The role will involve taking overall management responsibility for the implementation and quality assurance of learning support and High Needs bespoke learning provision across the College.

You will have extensive experience in supporting/assessment of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, successful experience of managing learning support that positively impacts upon student retention and achievement and experience of managing ALS funding claims and allocating resources within the ALS budget.

You will be qualified to Degree level. Excellent collaborating cross college staff is essential, you must have good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills combined with a professional attitude to work.

Salary: Band I, points 30 – 35 - £33,641 - £38,313 per annum

You will be highly organised and experienced working with young people and adults.

You will need a relevant degree. Excellent Collaborating cross college staff is essential and you must have good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills combined with a professional attitude to work.

In addition the Estates Team provide front line security to ensure student conduct is in line with the College rules.
