Volunteering Staff
Are you looking for volunteering work in the education sector?Stanmore College was established in 1987. The College offers its students a wealth of provision, an excellent experience and top-class teaching from highly skilled staff. Based in Stanmore, Greater London, the College offers education to both young and adult learners mainly from Brent, Harrow, Hertfordshire and London.
Volunteering is a great way to build and disseminate transferable skills, particularly team work, presentation and communication. You can boost your CV and perform your social responsibilities whilst making a difference in the wider community.
We understand that your time, skills and enthusiasm are precious so we want you to get the most out of your experience with us. There are a wide range of volunteering opportunities at the College you can choose to get involved with; from working directly with students, in a 1-2-1 or group setting, developing their self-confidence and understanding of society, to helping various departments within the College. So whatever skills and experience you already have, there is likely to be something which you can do.
You can volunteer for a few hours a week or you may decide to undertake a longer period of voluntary work during the course of the year. Whatever stage of life you are in whether a graduate, in between job roles, a career break or indeed retired, we welcome your contribution to the Stanmore College community.

Activities Coordinator
Full Time, Monday – Friday, Through a yearWe are looking for an Activities Coordinator to plan and support the delivery of a variety of enrichment activities including those focusing on mental health and wellbeing and student voice. The role will include daytime supervision of the Sports Hall activities including the Fitness Room and assisting with the supervision of the Student Lounge. The post holder will play an important role in the encouragement of student participation, female students in particular, in all enrichment activities at Stanmore College.
A qualification in the Sports and Leisure industry and a current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one is required. A Youth Work qualification is desirable.
The post is open to female applicants only as the role is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Paragraph 1.

IT Technician
Full time, Through the yearStanmore College are looking to appoint an IT Technician to work in its busy Technical Services team. The College is dependent on its IT systems working properly and efficiently. We are looking for a candidate who has a keen interest in IT systems and is good at managing their time in the face of changing priorities.
Applicants will have experience of working within a help desk environment and sound demonstrable knowledge of hardware in the form of PCs, laptops, printers, audio-visual components, and other network devices as well as experience of supporting users within a Microsoft Windows environment. Experience of troubleshooting and resolving a spectrum of first line issues in both a hardware and software context is essential. Experience in Office 365 Suite of applications, Active Directory, PowerShell, Azure and Intune are beneficial. Training will be available to the appointed candidate.
Salary: Band G, Point 21 – 24, £29,227 - £31,466

LECTURER – EARLY YEARS

We are looking for a Lecturer - Early Years to teach and assess on our Early Years (CACHE Levels 1, 2 & 3 Childcare) Adult programmes.
You must be enthusiastic and highly motivated, have a flexible approach to work and be able to work as a member of team.
Applicants must have a relevant degree and a full teaching qualification or be completing a PGCE/Cert Ed/DTLLS this academic year. Recent experience of teaching the relevant subject in a school, FE college or adult learning institution is essential.
Salary: Band H – I, Points 25 – 35, £31,984 - £42,059 per annum (F/T salary)
£19,190.40 - £ 25,235.4?0 per annum (P/T salary).

Examinations Assistant
Permanent, full time, term time only, 42 weeksWe are looking for an efficient person to contribute as a member of the Examinations team to ensure that the entry, registration and examinations undertaken by Learners at all College sites are managed effectively and efficiently and completed in accordance with the Awarding bodies requirements. Further, that the data involved in these activities is recorded accurately within the College’s Management Information Systems (MIS).
You will have a minimum of one year’s experience in an administrative role and qualified to minimum Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy and Level 3 administration or equivalent qualification.
The position holder must be available for GCSE results days.
Salary: Band E, Points 13 – 16, £23,395 - £25,599 (pro rata) per annum
TTO salary: £22,639.34 - £24,772.15 per annum
