Lecturer in Sport

We are seeking to appoint a full time Lecturer in Sport to teach a range of subjects associated with Sports Studies, including Level 1 and Level 3 BTEC programmes, NCFE level 2, 1st 4 Sport and NVQ fitness awards.

You will have recent experience of teaching Sport across Levels 1-3, including BTEC programmes in a school, FE college or adult learning institution is essential. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage young vocational learners aged 16-18.

You will need to possess a degree in Sport or a related subject area and an assessor award as well as a full teaching qualification or be completing a PGCE/Cert Ed/DTLLS this academic year.

You must be enthusiastic and highly motivated, have a flexible approach to work and be able to work as a member of the team.

Salary

Band H, points 25 – 29, £28,561 - £32,063 per annum

Admissions Assistant

(32 hours per week, term time only)

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Admissions Assistant to work as part of a team, combining reception with admission duties, including giving initial information, advice and guidance, enrolling students on to the College computer systems, validating data and organising inductions.

Applicants must have a minimum of a level 3 qualification, experience of reception work, including the use of Microsoft applications, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Initiative and a flexible approach to work are essential.

The hours of work required are 9.00am – 5pm Monday – Tuesday, 12.00noon – 8.00pm Wednesday, 9.00am – 5pm Thursday and 9.00am – 1.00pm on a Friday with the flexibility to cover an evening shift of 4pm – 8pm on a Tuesday, term-time only, on an occasional basis.

Salary

Band E points 13 – 16, £16,258.15 - £17,788.87 (based on a full time salary of £20,892 - £22,859)

Learning Support Assistant (Bank Staff)

Do you want to provide learning support and welfare for students who have a disability and/or a learning difficulty?

If so, Stanmore College has a great opportunity for you to join the Inclusion team to assist the Inclusion Manager to develop a suitable programme of support and carry out the programme within the classroom or in a withdrawal situation. Building relationships with students who have additional needs to help them overcome barriers to learning and supporting them to maximise their learning potential would also be an important aspect of the role.

You will have a minimum of one year’s experience of supporting post-16 or secondary school students and a Level 3 qualification. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and good IT skills.

Salary

£11.40 per hour, term-time only

Variable Hours Lecturer - Engineering

We are looking for a Variable Hours Lecturer to teach on our Engineering courses, including delivering units which are both theoretical and practical based on a range of courses; BTEC levels 1, 2 and 3 and Access.
