Learning Support Team Leader

LEARNING SUPPORT TEAM LEADER

(Permanent, Full-time, through a year)



We ae looking for a Learning Support Team Leader to ensure that support for students is organised appropriately in line with the funding available for the support. You will be responsible for day-to-day co-ordination of Learning Support Assistants including their timetabling as well as liaising with local authorities in relation to funding.



You will have experience and knowledge of working with and supporting Students with Special Educational Needs. You must have good interpersonal communication and organisational skills combined with a professional attitude to work.

The Role:

As Teaching and E-learning Specialist (TLS) you will play a key role in enhancing the educational experience by improving teaching practices, learning outcomes, and overall instructional quality, with particular focus on digital technologies and innovation. The Role:



As a SEND Curriculum Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and innovative lessons that enhance the literacy skills of our students aged 16-18 and adult learners. The manager of SEND will support teachers and learning support staff in the identification of the most effective teaching approaches for students with SEND/HNS. Monitor teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of students with SEND/HNS. Liaise with schools to ensure continuity of support and learning when transferring pupils with SEND.



In addition, you will:



• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the special educational needs (SEND) policy


• Co-ordinating provision for learners with SEND


• Liaise with and advising other teachers


• Overseeing the records of all learners with SEND


• Liaising with parents/carers of learners with SEND


• Contributing to the in-service training of staff


• Liaising with external agencies including the College support and educational psychology services, health and social services, and voluntary bodies
