Volunteering Staff
Are you looking for volunteering work in the education sector?Stanmore College was established in 1987. The College offers its students a wealth of provision, an excellent experience and top-class teaching from highly skilled staff. Based in Stanmore, Greater London, the College offers education to both young and adult learners mainly from Brent, Harrow, Hertfordshire and London.
Volunteering is a great way to build and disseminate transferable skills, particularly team work, presentation and communication. You can boost your CV and perform your social responsibilities whilst making a difference in the wider community.
We understand that your time, skills and enthusiasm are precious so we want you to get the most out of your experience with us. There are a wide range of volunteering opportunities at the College you can choose to get involved with; from working directly with students, in a 1-2-1 or group setting, developing their self-confidence and understanding of society, to helping various departments within the College. So whatever skills and experience you already have, there is likely to be something which you can do.
You can volunteer for a few hours a week or you may decide to undertake a longer period of voluntary work during the course of the year. Whatever stage of life you are in whether a graduate, in between job roles, a career break or indeed retired, we welcome your contribution to the Stanmore College community.
If you would like to explore a volunteer position with the view of going onto a teachers training programme, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you.
We reimburse all pre agreed travel expenses.
If you are a good communicator, fluent in English language equivalent to GCSE, who is interested in working with students, then please get in touch.
A (Disclosure Barring Service) DBS check will be required.
Please email hr@stanmore.ac.uk to discuss the many opportunities we have.
