SWAPS Programme
At Stanmore College, our Sector‑based Work Academy Programmes (SWAPs) are designed for adults who want to build confidence, gain real industry skills, and step into employment opportunities.
Delivered in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), our SWAPs blend friendly, life‑long learning support with hands‑on, employer‑driven training that gets results.

Eligibilty Criteria
• Are aged 19 or over
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Are claiming UC, JSA, ESA (WRAG) or IS
• Are motivated and ready to work
• Can attend the full course
• Are suitable for the chosen sector
Working with the DWP
Our partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions ensures every SWAP is built around the three core pillars:
