Whether you need to resit your GCSE English and Maths, want to develop practical skills or are looking for a new direction, there are different pathways to help you move forward.
Choose a route that matches your interests and goals, develop skills for your future and get the support you need along the way.
All Back on Track courses run from October 2026 to June 2027.

Who is back on track for?
Back on Track is for 16–18-year-olds who are looking for a fresh start, want to build their skills or need a different route into further study, training or employment.

What courses are available?
There are several Back on Track pathways available, including GCSE English and Maths resits alongside vocational pathways, Level 2 programmes and Level 1 Multiskills.
Pathways include Digital & Technology, Business & Retail, Health & Social Care & Childcare, Sport, Construction & Engineering, Digital Skills, Creative Media, Coding, Cyber Security and Sports Coaching.

Do I have to resit my GCSE English and Maths?
If you need to resit your GCSE English and/or Maths, you can do this as part of the relevant Back on Track programmes alongside your vocational studies.

When do the courses start?
Back on Track courses start in October 2026 and run until June 2027.

How do I register my interest?
Apply online and select ‘Back on Track’ when completing your application. This will allow the team to identify you for the relevant Back on Track opportunities.

What happens after I register my interest?
Once you have registered your interest, the College will contact you with information about the next steps, including your interview.

When are the interviews?
Interviews take place 1st and 8th October 2026.
