The Teaching (Further Education and Skills) NCFE Diploma Level 5 is ideal if you are currently teaching or you want to pursue a teaching role in the Further Skills & Education sector.

This qualification provides you with the knowledge to teach in a variety of settings, focusing primarily on practical experience to prepare you for the profession. This programme requires a minimum of 250 placement hours, with at least 150 hours of teaching practice. This can include class-based teaching your in subject area, remote delivery, and other activities such as planning, team meetings, and Certified Professional Development (CPD) training attendance.

You will gain experience in at least two teaching locations and complete a minimum of 10 assessed observations. To successful complete this qualification 120 credits are required. Mandatory units cover teaching methods, understanding learners, the role of teachers, professional practice, and digital pedagogy. Optional units allow you to tailor your learning and have options such as action research or specialist delivery techniques.
