This course is for you if you have a creative side, enjoy working with people and are looking for an introduction into the beauty industry. This introductory programme will provide you with the fundamental skills and knowledge required to deliver professional beauty treatments.
This qualification will provide you with the fundamental knowledge and skills, creating the perfect foundation for further study. You may wish to progress onto the full Level 2 Beauty Therapy course.
This course is suitable for 16/18 year old students and adults with an interest in beauty therapy.
The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy and will provide you with the foundation for further learning.

Outcomes: The VTCT Level 1 Diploma in Beauty Therapy is a one year course that has been specifically designed to introduce you to practical beauty therapy skills in a realistic working environment. This is the course for you if you have a creative side, enjoy working with people and are looking for an introduction into the beauty industry. This introductory programme will provide you with the fundamental skills and knowledge required to deliver professional beauty treatments in a range of areas, and prepare you for progression into Level 2 beauty and beyond.

Entry Requirements
Interview prior to enrolment. Learners must be aged 16 or over and achieved 2 GCSEs Grade 2 – 3 or D-E in Mathematics and English Language or equivalent -
Assessment
Assessment methods include observation of practical work, written assignments, oral questioning and written end of unit tests. Learners will be required to bring clients to classes for assessments. Additionally, they will have homework to complete which includes compiling a portfolio of evidence, completing workbooks and practising skills learnt in class

Learners will be required to purchase a uniform and kit as part of their course and costs will be confirmed during the interview.
