The ASDAN Employability Certificate Level 1 qualification will give you the essential skills needed for success in the workplace. It is designed to help you develop the skills you need to be a successful employee.
The primary purpose of this qualification is to support you in overcoming barriers to entering work. It is intended for you if you are not yet ready for employment, but you can aim to get a job within a reasonable timescale. The course is also suitable for you if you are entering the workplace for the first time and you need to develop employability skills.
This course offers a supportive environment to help you develop confidence and build skills that employers value. Through practical, real-world activities, you’ll strengthen your employability and take important steps towards achieving your career goals. The course provides a strong foundation for progression and employability. After completing this course you can pursue further study, supported internships, or employment.
This qualification is ideal if you have special educational needs. It is available for 16-18yrs, and 16-24 yrs with EHCP.

You can progress to a Level 2 qualification, further study, employment, or apply for supported internship.
- Entry Requirements
Qualifications at Entry 3 level are advisable, but not required.
Literacy and numeracy skills at Entry 3 level is preferred.
Available for 16-18yrs, and 16-24 yrs with EHCP. - Assessment
