The Business BTEC First Certificate Level 2 course focuses on developing practical skills and knowledge essential for administrative roles in a business environment. On this programme you will gain an understanding of key administrative functions and how they support business operations.
The course covers various topics, including understanding administrative services, communicating effectively in a business environment, and managing business documentation for record-keeping. You’ll also learn to organise meetings and events, manage diary systems, and deliver with excellent customer service.
Units covered include:
- Unit 1: Enterprise in the Business
- Unit 2: Finance for Business
- Unit 4: Principles of Customer Service
- Unit 7: Providing Business Support
- Unit 9: Principles of Marketing
- Unit 10:Using Business Documentation
This qualification provides a solid foundation for pursuing administrative roles or progressing to further qualifications in business or administration. This National Occupational Standards (NOS) refers to this course as a competence based qualification. This means that the course will help you be more prepared for a job, and you will be required to demonstrate your skills and knowledge in relation to the industry that you are applying for.
