The Beauty Therapy General VTCT NVQ Diploma Level 2 is an Ofqual regulated course.
This course is perfect if you are looking to launch a successful career in the beauty industry. Whether you’re aiming to work in a salon, start your own business, or become a mobile beauty therapist, this is a well-rounded course covering a range of foundational treatments that are in high demand. You will gain essential skills, practical hands-on experience, and theoretical knowledge to support your training. The course covers the following modules:
Competencies:
Contraindications to all treatments, client consultation & selling techniques, classroom salon experience and management duties.
Facials and Skincare:
Learn how to perform professional facial treatments, including cleansing, exfoliation, and hydration techniques.
Eyelash and Brow Treatments:
Learn to perform eyebrow shaping, tinting, and eyelash treatments for a complete eye care service.
Manicure and Pedicure:
Gain skills in nail care, including shaping, cuticle treatment, exfoliation, application of mask (paraffin wax and warm oil treatments), massage and applying nail polish or gel.
Waxing:
Master the art of hair removal using a variety of waxing techniques for different areas of the body, including the legs, bikini line, arms, underarms, facial hair, eyebrows, upper lip, and chin.

- Progression
You can also go into employment at a junior level. You can also advance to Level 3, either through the massage route or the electrical route.
- Entry Requirements
Level 1 English (good Level of English speaking and literacy).

Online theory exams.
Practical exams.
Performance is observed by IQA and EQA. - Class Schedule
1 day a week for 20 weeks.
2 days a week for 20 weeks (subject to availability). - Location
Our Beauty and Hairdressing courses are currently offered at two well established academies in Stanmore and the local area.
