In the T-Level Accounting specialism for Assistant Accountant, you will develop the practical skills and knowledge required to work effectively in an accounting role. You will learn how to prepare and maintain financial records, process transactions, and reconcile accounts. The course will equip you with the ability to produce and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations. You will also gain an understanding of tax and audit functions, learning how to support these areas within an organisation. Digital accounting plays a key role in modern finance, and you will develop proficiency in using accounting software and financial reporting tools. Communication is essential in the accounting sector, so you will learn how to present financial information clearly and professionally to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
Throughout the course, you will apply your learning in real-world scenarios, gaining hands-on work experience that will prepare you for a successful career in accounting.

Entry Requirements
To enrol, you’ll need 5 GCSEs or international GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English, Maths, and Business or Economics. Alternatively, a Level 2 Vocational Tech Award qualification at Pass or above in a relevant subject, such as the BTEC Tech Award in Business, is also accepted. we recognise that your ability to succeed can be demonstrated in various ways, such as relevant work experience or specific aptitude shown through diagnostic tests or non-educational experience. Exceptions to entry requirements for Level 3 qualifications may be considered on an individual basis. -
Assessment
In the first year, you will complete two externally set exams in the core component, along with an employer-set project. In the second year, you will focus on an occupational specialism in Assistant Accountant, completing synoptic assignments. Exam board is Pearson.
