Student Zara shines bright as ‘Student of the Month’ at Bright Horizons Nursery in Colindale.

Zara, a dedicated Early Years Level 2 Childcare student in her second year, has been proudly awarded Student of the Month at Bright Horizons in Colindale. Her work placement, focusing on children aged 3 to 5, has showcased her exceptional skills and commitment to early childhood education.

“We would like to nominate Zara. She has built strong relationships with both the team and the children, and consistently demonstrates a willingness to help and support in any way she can. She is very engaged with the children, and she has shown great initiative in writing observations to support her understanding of written language and child development. Her dedication and enthusiasm make her an invaluable asset to our team.” 

Zara’s recognition comes from her natural ability to connect with children and her proactive approach to learning and contributing. She doesn’t wait to be asked, whether it’s assisting teachers with observations or identifying gaps in children’s development, Zara actively takes initiative. Her keen eye and thoughtful input help ensure that each child’s growth is supported holistically from start to finish, enhancing their overall development experience.

Currently completing 190 of her required 250 work placement hours, Zara has made the most of her time at Bright Horizons. She praises the staff highly, describing them as “amazing and genuinely interested in her professional development”. The supportive team has been consistently helpful, providing guidance and encouragement throughout her placement.

In recognition of her hard work and potential, Bright Horizons has offered Zara exciting opportunities to continue her journey with them, including apprenticeship and full-time employment options.

Zara’s successful work placement is a testament to her passion and dedication, and with such a strong foundation and support network, she’s poised for a bright future in early years childcare.
