Redevelopment: A New Chapter Begins
As part of our commitment to providing state-of-the-art learning facilities, the redevelopment of Stanmore College is well underway. With key milestones already achieved, we are making significant progress in preparing the site for construction.
Site Handover & Preparations (May–July 2024)
24th May 2024 – Site Handover & Initial Preparations
- Essential services, including water and electricity, were in the process of being redirected to prepare for construction.
- Construction hoarding has started to be installed around the site to secure the area and ensure safety during redevelopment.
- The site was officially handed over to Bouygues UK (BYUK), the construction company leading the project.

- The decant process began, with classrooms in the Rowan, Oak, and Spruce buildings gradually phased out to make way for demolition.

Reconfiguring Campus Spaces to Minimize Disruption
To ensure learning continued smoothly during the redevelopment, key adjustments were made:
- The library was condensed, creating two additional classrooms to accommodate students.
- ESOL classes were relocated to Harrow Arts Centre.
- Sports classes moved to Banisters.
