Oak Demolition
The redevelopment of Stanmore College continues to progress, with a major milestone achieved in preparing the site for construction. Careful planning and critical infrastructure work have now fully separated the old site from the new build area, paving the way for the next phase of development.
A significant achievement was the successful redirection of water and gas services, a crucial step that ensures safety and efficiency while allowing construction to move forward without disrupting the remaining campus.

18th October 2024: The Oak Building was partitioned into two sections to allow for a controlled demolition.

20th October 2024: Parts of the Oak Building were demolished and safely disposed of.

23rd October 2024: The above ground demolition was completed, and weatherproofing began on the remaining section to protect it from the elements. The car park was also removed, clearing space for the upcoming construction phase.
With essential services now in place and the site fully prepared, the transformation of Stanmore College is well underway. The vision of a modern, sustainable campus is becoming a reality.
