Ground floor Slab Complete
Exciting progress continues on our new campus development, with a major milestone now visible to all—the first-floor slab has been cast. This marks a huge step forward, as the building is now rising above ground level, bringing our vision closer to reality.
The wooden framework seen on-site played a crucial role in shaping and supporting the concrete slab as it was poured. Once the concrete has fully cured and passed all necessary checks, these temporary structures will be removed, revealing the solid foundation for the next phase.
With the first floor in place, Bouygues UK’s site team will now begin work on casting the walls and pillars that will support the next level. This process will further define the structure, giving students, staff, and visitors an even clearer view of what’s to come.
It’s been incredible to watch the transformation unfold, and even more special to see students and staff engage with the process, gaining a unique insight into the construction journey. Seeing the campus take shape firsthand has been an amazing experience, and we can’t wait for the next stages of development.
