Engineering Students Explore Future Pathways at Brunel University London
Engineering students visited Brunel University London for a Design, Engineering and Mathematics Taster Day, gaining hands-on experience, exploring cutting-edge facilities and learning more about university life and future careers in engineering.
On 30 April 2026, our Engineering students visited Brunel University London for a Design, Engineering and Mathematics Taster Day, providing an inspiring and informative insight into university life and engineering education.
The day was carefully planned to give students a genuine understanding of what studying engineering at university involves. Throughout the visit, students engaged with academic staff and student ambassadors while exploring Brunel’s modern laboratories, studios and specialist facilities.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to:
- Take part in hands-on activities using industry-standard equipment
- Experience creative studio-based sessions
- Explore emerging technologies through an interactive AI workshop
- Tour the university campus and student accommodation
A particular highlight of the day was reconnecting with former students who are now studying at Brunel. Hearing first-hand about their experiences and journeys into higher education made the visit especially meaningful and relatable for our students.
Experiences such as these play an important role in helping young people make informed decisions about their future pathways, while also building confidence and raising aspirations.
We would like to extend our thanks to Jessica Martin and the team at Brunel University London for their warm welcome and for delivering such an engaging and inspiring experience for our students.
