NEW 2-year qualifications for 16-19 year olds
Coming September 2021 - T Levels: what they are?
T Levels are new courses, which will follow GCSEs and will be equivalent to 3 A Levels. These 2-year courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for work. T Levels will offer students a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience during an industry placement of at least 315 hours (approximately 45 days). They will provide the knowledge and experience needed to open the door into skilled employment, further study or a higher apprenticeship. Students will be able to take a T Level post GCSEs in the following subject areas at Stanmore College:

Not ready for T-Levels?
If you don’t have GCSE English and/or Maths and still want to do a T Level qualification don’t panic. Our Level 2 qualifications can help you get there! You will be able to re-sit Maths and English allowing you to progress. Level 2 qualifications at Stanmore are designed to develop the skills, knowledge and experience needed to progress onto a T Level in the future for those who are not quite ready for them yet. Also, next year Stanmore College will also be offering a T Level in I.T. so yet more choice. If you need to come into college this year at level 2 and wish to progress to either I.T., Science or Education and Care we have level 2 qualifications in all three areas.
