If you want to create your own future and build your dreams of becoming a successful entrepreneur, then this is the course for you. The course gives a broad overview across every aspect of running a business. You will learn a diverse range of transferable skills and knowledge through a business qualification that can help you take your next steps in the world of business.

This qualification is aimed at learners aged 16-19-years old.

Course Outcomes

The qualification carries UCAS points and is recognised by higher education providers. Leaners may choose to do a foundation degree or do high quality professional and technical education at Levels 4 and 5. This qualification can also be used to progress to Higher Apprenticeships and develops the relevant understanding of how to start your own business.

Progression

The qualification aims to provide a wide-ranging study of the sector. It is primarily designed for learners studying full time in the 16–19 age group, who wish to pursue a career in business, primarily via higher education to access graduate entry employment with businesses, or alternatively through junior business employment in either Business Administration or Management, or their corresponding apprenticeships.

Entry Requirements

4 GCSEs grades 4 or above successful completion of Level 2 qualification in Business or Level 3 Extended Certificate in Business.

Assessment

The qualification has mandatory and optional specialist units.

  • 25 percent of the qualification that is externally assessed; Pearson sets and marks these assessments
  • 75 percent of the qualification is graded from Level 3 Pass, L3 Merit to Level 3 Distinction.
