Edgware Associates Support T Level Students
Edgware Associates have supported multiple students through work placements, helping them develop professional skills and, in some cases, progress into paid employment.
More than 15 Stanmore College students have gained practical experience through our partnership with Edgware Associates, an award-winning accountancy firm based in Edgware. These placements have helped students build professional skills, with some progressing into paid employment.
During a recent visit, we saw how the firm supports students to put their classroom learning into practice, grow in confidence and prepare for careers in accountancy.
Students supporting students
A highlight of the visit was seeing second-year T Level students support a first-year student on his first day of placement, sharing their experience and helping him transition into the professional environment. Their guidance demonstrated the value of peer mentoring in developing confidence, teamwork and leadership skills.
Building skills and career opportunities
The team at Edgware Associates play an important role in helping students understand the expectations of the accountancy profession. Staff take time to guide learners, share their knowledge and provide practical experience that complements their studies.
Over the past few years, the firm has supported more than 15 students through work placements, with some progressing into paid employment after successfully completing their placements. These opportunities help students build confidence, strengthen their employability skills and take meaningful steps towards their future careers.
Strengthening links between education and employment
The partnership with Edgware Associates demonstrates how close links between education and employers can help students prepare for the workplace. By gaining hands-on experience directly with industry professionals, students can develop the skills and confidence they need to progress into employment.
We are grateful to Edgware Associates for their continued investment in our students who are part of the future workforce. We extend our thanks to Mr Iqbal Sediq and Nirali Shah for their support and commitment.
