Student Wins Work Placement Young Person of the Year at Prestigious Youth Awards
Zahra Darr has won Work Placement Young Person of the Year at the Youth Career Collective Awards for her work during placement.
It was an unforgettable evening at the Youth Career Collective Awards, as Stanmore College proudly celebrated the outstanding achievement of student Zahra, who was named Work Placement Young Person of the Year.
The award recognises young people who go above and beyond during their work placements, including internships, work experience and T Level industry placements. Zahra’s success is a testament to her dedication, growth and commitment, qualities that Stanmore students are encouraged to develop throughout their learning journey.
During the evening our Work Placement Coordinator, Ruhina Mehdi, spoke about the College’s partnership with Youth Career Collective, sharing how it continues to create life-changing opportunities for students. She also encouraged more employers to support young people by offering placements that help them become confident, work-ready individuals.
The event was filled with inspiring stories from nominees and student speakers, making it a truly uplifting experience for everyone involved.
This success also reflects the collective support behind every student. Stanmore’s teachers, work placement team and support staff work closely together to ensure each learner is guided, encouraged and given the opportunity to thrive.
Stanmore College extends a huge congratulations to Zahra on this incredible achievement. Moments like these showcase the power of opportunity, partnership and belief, ensuring every student has the chance to succeed.
