AAT Students Attend the  AccelerAATe Conference

AAT students from Stanmore College joined the AccelerAATe Online Student Conference, hearing directly from former students and gaining practical guidance for their future careers.

The conference, from 28-30 January, gave students the opportunity to hear first-hand from AAT members who were once in the same position as they are now. Across the three days, students attended a range of online sessions featuring former AAT students who have gone on to build successful careers in a variety of exciting and diverse industries.

Hearing from Past AAT Students

A key highlight of the event was listening to speakers share their personal journeys and career experiences. They explained how completing an AAT qualification helped shape their professional lives, providing them with strong foundations and opening doors to new opportunities. These real-life success stories were both inspiring and reassuring for current students.

Understanding Career Pathways

The conference also highlighted the wide range of career options available after qualifying with AAT. Students learned about opportunities within accounting, finance, business and other sectors, helping them to better understand the flexibility and value of the AAT qualification.

Advice and Motivation

Speakers spoke openly about the challenges they faced during their studies and how they overcame them. They shared practical advice on managing workloads, staying motivated and achieving long-term career goals. This guidance provided students with valuable tips they can apply to their own studies and future careers.

A Positive and Inspiring Experience

Overall, the AccelerAATe Conference was a motivating and informative experience for Stanmore College students. It helped build confidence, encouraged ambition and reinforced the benefits of completing an AAT qualification. Students were also invited to join various study groups and network with other learners, helping them to feel more connected and part of the wider AAT community.

Stanmore College is proud to support its students by promoting opportunities such as this and we look forward to seeing them progress and succeed in their AAT studies and future careers.
