Success Starts with Perseverance

On 4th November, I had the privilege of attending a taster day with Publicis Media, and what an inspiring experience it was! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was filled with energy, creativity, and encouragement.

It was an honour to meet the Careers and Talent Acquisition team, alongside apprentices, senior managers, and students from a range of schools and colleges. I meet with many students daily in College who apply for many apprenticeships and get disheartened with rejections, but hearing the incredible journeys of the Publicis team truly resonated with me and inspired the title of this article: “Success Starts with Perseverance”

Throughout the day, we took part in interactive projects, quizzes, and career workshops. The sessions provided valuable insights into the media industry and the diverse career paths available within it. What stood out most were the motivational stories shared by staff members who had each carved out their own unique routes to success.

A highlight of the day was learning about the apprenticeship application process, including practical advice and tips on how to make an application stand out. I left feeling motivated and equipped with knowledge that I’m eager to share with our students.

I would strongly encourage young people to take advantage of the upcoming online workshops offered by Publicis and Uptree, which provide fantastic guidance for those aspiring to secure an apprenticeship in the creative and digital sectors.

A huge thank you to the Uptree team, especially Valeria and Trianna, for arranging such a well-organised and meaningful event. We are thrilled that they will be visiting our college on 12th November to continue inspiring our students and helping them take the next steps toward achieving their career dreams.

It’s days like these that remind us progress isn’t about perfection, it’s about showing up, staying curious, and never losing sight of what’s possible.
