Stanmore College Marks Milestone with New Build Progress

One year on from the groundbreaking ceremony, Stanmore College has reached a major milestone in the construction of its new state-of-the-art building.

The project, delivered in partnership with leading developer Bouygues UK, is a symbol of the College’s commitment to providing first-class education and facilities. The roof is now complete, a key stage that allows a clear view of the spacious new classrooms taking shape inside.

To celebrate this achievement, a special event was held on site, attended by representatives from the Department for Education (DfE), College Governors, Student Governors, and members of the wider college community. Guests were given the opportunity to tour the building, gaining a first glimpse of the modern, light-filled learning spaces that will soon host the next generation of students.

The new building, with its generous layouts and contemporary design, represents a significant step forward for the College. With more room for collaboration, flexible teaching, and the latest technology, the development reflects the College’s ambition to deliver an outstanding educational environment.

Speaking at the event, College leaders described the occasion as both a celebration of progress and a look ahead to the exciting opportunities the new facilities will provide. Thanks to the expertise of Bouygues UK, the project remains firmly on track, with further developments set to be unveiled in the coming months.

Russell Miller, the Project Director, from Bouygues said “The success of this project is a result of genuine collaboration with the Department for Education (DfE), the College, our design teams, and the very talented people on site who are bringing the vision to life each day.”

Principal Annette Cast added: “This redevelopment stands as the symbol of our enduring commitment to excellence in education, and we can’t wait to welcome our students into this incredible new space that will enrich their lives forever.”

Patrick Heisel, Project Director DfE reflected on the significance of the development for the wider community: “This college will stand as a symbol of learning, growth and community values that both Stanmore College and Harrow itself are so well known for.”

As the new campus continues to take shape, the College is eager to welcome staff and students into a space designed to inspire, support, and empower learning for years to come.
