The Engineering BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3 is a technical course designed to prepare you for a career in engineering. You will study subjects related to engineering design, telecommunications, mathematical principles in engineering contexts. The course is focused on practical and theoretical knowledge. The course is equipped with latest resources so you can explore and research multiple aspects of engineering.
You will also gain hands-on experience through work placements at relevant institutions, such as engineering design firms or telecommunications companies. This will enable you to put your learning into practice. In addition to the academic studies, the programme includes enrichment opportunities such as lectures from local universities, understanding pathways to undergraduate engineering programmes, work shadowing, and industry days.
These experiences will provide valuable insights into the engineering profession and help prepare you for a future in an engineering related career. You could progress to study aeronautical, chemical, electrical & electronic, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, civil, automotive, and mechatronics.
