This course provides the essential qualifications required to progress to degree-level study in this field or a related subject.

The course covers the following modules:
- Blood and Circulation
- Cell Biology
- Ethical Issues in Health and Social Care
- Homeostasis and Body Regulation
- Human Anatomy and Physiology
- Introduction to Psychology
- Role of the Health and Social Care Professional
- Tissues and Organ Systems
You will develop key study skills, including effective note-taking, academic reading and research, essay writing, exam preparation, and oral presentation. Throughout the course, you will be supported by a personal tutor, who will also guide you through the process of applying to Higher Education. You will also build your professional communication skills and learn how to source, interpret, and use information confidently.
Each year, over 20,000 Access to HE students apply for a degree courses at a UK university. If you go on to complete a relevant degree at university, your Advanced Learner Loan will be written off by Student Finance England.

- Entry Requirements
GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above.
Or, if you have one GCSE at grade 4 or above in Maths or English, we may be able to offer the course with GCSE classes in addition to the course.
An interview is required to confirm course suitability. - Assessment

This course may be free if you meet the eligibility criteria. A full fee assessment will be done to determine this.
You may be eligible if:
You are not working and you are on benefits. (Proof of benefits will be required).
You are on low income. (Proof of income will be required).
You are aged 19-23 and you do not have a full Level 3 qualification. Two A-levels at grades A*- E are equivalent to a full Level 3 qualification. (Proof of qualifications will be required.)
