Sustainability Talk with Bouygues UK
Stanmore College was proud to host an insightful and impactful sustainability talk by Cathal Ward, Senior Environmental Advisor at Bouygues UK.
The session, on 14 May, shed light on the current state of climate change and its far-reaching impact on our everyday lives. Cathal shared valuable insights into how we, as individuals, can make small but significant changes in our daily habits to help combat the climate crisis.
The talk also focused on the collective efforts of global communities, governments, law enforcement agencies, and charities that are working tirelessly to reduce carbon footprints and limit environmental damage.
One of the most eye-opening discussions was about the engineering industry’s role in this fight, and how Bouygues UK is making strides within their sector to create sustainable solutions for a better future.
Our students were deeply engaged in the conversation, asking questions and expressing their interest in the research and behind-the-scenes efforts to save our planet. It was a reminder that every effort counts, and together, we can make a real difference.
A huge thank you from our Work Placement Team, who organised this talk, to Cathal Ward and Bouygues UK for sharing their expertise and inspiring us all to take action!
