Successful Fundraiser for Worthy Causes

On 9th December, we hosted a heart-warming Christmas fundraiser supporting Cancer Research and Shelter from the Storm (a local homeless charity), bringing together staff, students, and community partners in a celebration of generosity, sustainability, and festive spirit.

In the weeks leading up to the fundraiser, staff and students donated a wide range of items including food, clothes, bags, and other goods, which were sold at the event to raise money. Organised primarily by our Work Experience Team, Business students, Health and Social Care students, Science students, this initiative encouraged charitable giving and highlighted the importance of recycling and re-using items to promote sustainability.

Thanks to the dedication and kindness of everyone involved, the college collectively raised £273.00 for Cancer Research and £255.00 for Shelter from the Storm.

The event was opened by Ketan Dattani of Buckingham Futures, one of our valued employer partners, who inspired students with his words and generous support. We were also delighted to welcome Ann Butler from the local Cancer Research branch, whose presence added a special significance to the occasion.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and community spirit, reminding everyone of the true essence of the festive season: giving, kindness, and coming together to make a meaningful difference.
