Stanmore Studios attends BAFTA Young Game Designers Showcase

On 29th June, our students from UAL Level 3 Media attended the BAFTA Young Game Designers showcase hosted at the BAFTA headquarters in Central London.

The Young Game Designers competition is an annual event supported in 2025 by: Criterion Games, EE, Hasbro, PlayStation, and Warner Bros. Games.  It aims to inspire those passionate about video games by proving a platform where imagination can thrive. The competition gives young aspiring designers the opportunity to create, develop, and present new game ideas into the world.

Students attended keynotes on video game production, as well as brush shoulders with industry professionals from Aardmaan, Criterion Games, Laced Records and more. The event presented students with networking opportunities with other young game designers including students and indie developers.

Student Anthony Enriquez said: “I was inspired by the game designers who are in the same age group as me” and added that the event “gave me an insight as to how games are produced”. He extended a big thank you to partners at mayamada for connecting our students with this opportunity.
