Stanmore Studios attends Bafta Young Game Designers Showcase
On 29th June, our students from UAL Level 3 Media attended the BAFTA Young Game Designers showcase being hosted at the BAFTA headquarters in Central London.
The Young Game Designers competition is an annual event supported in 2025 by: Criterion Games, EE, Hasbro, PlayStation and Warner Bros. Games, to inspire those who are passionate about games. The competition creates a space for imaginations to thrive, and is a chance for young budding students to design, develop and present new game ideas to the world.
Learners got to attend keynotes on video game production as well as brush shoulders with industry professionals from Aardmaan, Criterion Games, Laced Records and more. Most crucially, the event presented students with networking opportunities with other young game designers including students and indie developers.
Student Anthony Enriquez said: “I was inspired by the game designers who are in the same age group as me” and that the event “gave me an insight as to how games are produced”. He extended a big thank you to partners at mayamada for connecting our students with this opportunity.
