Stanmore College visits ITV Studios for new T Level Media Course
Stanmore College is buzzing with excitement as it prepares to launch its brand-new T Level Media course in Content Creation, Production & Broadcast.
As part of our ongoing efforts to provide students with real-world industry insight and hands-on opportunities, our Work Placement Coordinator and Industry Leader, Ruhina Mehdi, recently visited the iconic home of ITV in London.
Hosted by Laura Scougall, Head of ITV Academy, the visit offered a unique behind-the-scenes experience. Representatives from various colleges, including Stanmore, were treated to an exclusive studio tour and an in-depth session on the inner workings of ITV. Laura generously shared her expertise on ITV’s structure, highlighting key roles and career pathways that align with the T Levels curriculum, giving educators valuable knowledge to pass on to future students.
One of the highlights of the tour was walking through the sets of popular shows such as Good Morning Britain, Loose Women, and Saturday Night Takeaway. It was both inspiring and insightful to see the energy and professionalism that goes into the creation of these popular well-loved programmes.
This visit couldn’t have come at a better time. With the new T Level Media – Content Creation Production and Broadcast launching soon at Stanmore College, the insights gained directly informed the design of upcoming taster sessions for prospective students.
