Stanmore College Accounting Students shine at exclusive Deloitte Finance Event

Our T Level Accounting students had the exciting opportunity to represent the College at a prestigious careers event hosted by Deloitte. Selected for their hard work and potential, they showcased exceptional confidence, curiosity, and professionalism. A proud moment for the College.

With only 200 spaces available nationwide, the competition was incredibly tough. The event was held on Friday 17th October, under the theme: “Curious about a career in Finance but not sure where to start?”. It was designed to introduce young women aged 16–21 to early career opportunities within Deloitte.

The fact that three of our four nominees were awarded by Deloitte, one of the world’s leading firms in finance, business, and innovation, speaks volumes about the quality and ambition nurtured within our accounting programme.

As a Lecturer in Accounting, I nominated these students because they consistently show outstanding drive, professionalism, and a genuine interest in the world of accounting. Deloitte noticing them, and acknowledging their talent, is a clear reflection of their potential and the bright futures ahead of them.

We are incredibly proud of our students for making the most of this opportunity and coming away with inspiration, insight, and ambition. Their success reflects the wider mission of our accounting programme: to empower students to achieve more than they thought possible.

Students had the chance to:

• Learn about Deloitte’s BrightStart Apprenticeships, internships, and graduate roles.
• Hear directly from professionals in audit, tax, and consulting.
• Gain valuable career advice from women in finance.
• Ask questions and explore what a future at Deloitte could look like.
