Significant Progress
As we welcome back our returning students and staff — and extend a warm hello to our new arrivals — it’s exciting to share how much has been happening on campus over the summer. Alongside preparing for the new academic year, a programme of essential works has been delivered as part of the DfE-funded new build project, managed by Bouygues UK.
These upgrades are a vital step in supporting the handover of Phase 1 of the new building while keeping our existing facilities running smoothly.
What’s been happening?
- New gas supplies have been connected to Hawthorn and Larch, helping to future-proof these buildings.
- The water supply has been prepared, ready to switch over during the handover period.
- Additional network cabling has been installed, ensuring the new building will be fully connected to the wider campus.
Looking ahead
With the first phase of handover approaching, attention on site is now shifting towards the internal aspects of the build. This next stage will see classrooms and learning spaces begin to take shape inside, as the building moves closer to becoming a vibrant part of our campus.
