Mock Interviews for T Level Construction Students
To support our students in developing their employability skills and building confidence, mock interviews were conducted on 10th October for our T Level Construction students. The sessions were designed to prepare learners for their upcoming industry placement interviews, which will take place in November.
The mock interviews provided students with a valuable opportunity to experience a realistic interview setting, helping them understand what to expect and how to present themselves professionally. Each student had the chance to practise responding to typical interview questions, discuss their coursework and practical experiences, and receive constructive feedback on their communication, body language, and overall performance.
These sessions not only helped students to reflect on their strengths and areas for improvement but also enabled them to develop key employability skills such as confidence, clarity, and self-awareness, essential qualities for success in the construction industry.
Both staff and students found the experience extremely beneficial. The feedback gathered will help further tailor our careers support, ensuring that all learners feel prepared and ready to make the most of their upcoming interviews and placements.
By providing these mock interviews, we are continuing to bridge the gap between education and industry, ensuring that our T Level Construction students are career-ready, confident, and equipped for success.
A big thanks you to the Work Placement Team, Vikash Pindoria, Project Management Assistant, and teachers for facilitating this session.
