Building Blocks at the London Build Expo

Stanmore College’s Engineering and T Level Construction students enjoyed an exciting and inspiring visit on 19 November to the London Build Expo 2025, one of the UK’s largest and most influential construction industry events. This year’s trip gave our learners a unique insight into the future of the sector and the chance to connect with the professionals who are shaping it.

From the moment they stepped into the expo halls, students found themselves surrounded by leading employers, innovative organisations, and influential voices from across the construction and engineering world. They had the rare opportunity to speak first-hand with some of the biggest names in the industry, asking questions, exploring pathways, and discovering career opportunities that align with their skills and ambitions.

Throughout the day, students attended several insightful talks focusing on key themes such as sustainability, architecture, and the ongoing challenge of delivering net-zero in construction. These sessions broadened their industry knowledge, and highlighted the vital role of future engineers and builders in shaping a more sustainable future.

The most rewarding part of the trip was students building valuable connections and reinforced motivation. Some are preparing their CV’s and LinkedIn profiles to share with potential employers they met at the expo. A true step towards building their futures.
