As a student at Stanmore College, you will be at the centre of everything we do. At Stanmore College, we want you, not only to reach your potential, but to be aspirational about continued development, whilst also enjoying an inclusive, supportive, welcoming, and secure environment. It’s not about making quick choices, but the right choice to enable you to excel.
We are exceptionally proud of our students who have achieved excellent results and progressed on to university, employment, and apprenticeships; 94% of those who applied to universities last year received places and you can read more about destinations by clicking here on our ‘Life After Stanmore brochure’.
Navigating the world of careers in today’s fast-paced age can seem overwhelming. Consideration is given to market intelligence on careers of the future when planning our range of study programmes. As well as lessons, a typical course includes work experience which gives you the opportunity to develop practical skills and put to practice what you have learnt in the classroom. You will meet with expert speakers and participate in industry days and other enrichment events which include clubs, the student union, sporting activities and trips. These opportunities will develop you as an individual who is prepared and ready for the challenges that lay ahead. We are totally committed to providing the support you need whether that is for progression to university or a career.
We offer high-quality teaching within an informal and friendly atmosphere. We are determined to help you achieve the academic qualifications required, learn transferable skills, and ensure that your unique talents are nurtured and developed. We want to make your studying enjoyable while working towards achieving your goals.
You will find that staff at Stanmore College genuinely care about you and want to help you achieve your goals and ambitions.
Having recently joined Stanmore College as Principal (August 2022), I look forward to welcoming you personally and supporting you on your journey towards high levels of achievement. All our staff have high expectations of our students and, whilst we may challenge you, this will be done in a supportive and positive way to ensure that you exceed your own expectations.
